How I Use AI Every Day

I've discovered some simple and actionable tasks that help me make the most of my time. Check them out:

πŸ‘‰ Writing draft testimonials for clients

πŸ‘‰ Summarising video resources

πŸ‘‰ Simplifying emails

Testimonials

When happy clients want to give us public credit but don't have the time, I offer them the option to draft a starter testimonial. Here's how it works:

πŸ‘‰ I jot down a few points about our engagement.

πŸ‘‰ Give it to the AI.

πŸ‘‰ Prompt it to rewrite my points in a testimonial style with 3 different versions.

πŸ‘ My tiny effort gets amplified

πŸ‘ Their job is easier

πŸ‘ We end up with fresh social proof in their voice (since they'll take the best parts and make it their own).

Video Resources

Using Monica.AI's Chrome extension, I can now summarise YouTube videos right in my browser. Here's how I do it:

πŸ‘‰ When I come across a useful resource that I know I'll want to revisit, I save it in our Notion workspace.

πŸ‘‰ In our resource database, I copy the summary into the description field. (Image 1 below)

πŸ‘‰ If there are particularly valuable highlights, I copy them to the top of the article and store them under a toggle.

πŸ‘‰ Later on, when I need insights, I can easily go back to that article in Notion and review the key points.

πŸ‘‰ If I want to understand more without watching the entire video, I can use the "Continue in chat" feature to ask questions about the video. Check out image 2, where I asked Monica, "What are the most important points in the video?"

πŸ‘ This approach allows me to build up easily browsable and searchable knowledge that our entire team can use.

πŸ‘ It makes Capturing, Organising, and Distilling information for Expression later, much easier.

Email

Sometimes, the easiest way to write an email is to let my thoughts flow freely. In the past, this would have required significant editing later on. But with AI, things have changed. Now, I can focus on capturing my thoughts and let the technology organize them into a more effective draft. Here are the three tasks where I use AI:

πŸ‘‰ Take a long email and create a summary with action points that I can place at the top.

πŸ‘‰ Rewrite an email to be more concise.

πŸ‘‰ Changing the tone of voice based on an Ideal Client Profile that I've already developed in a previous thread.

πŸ‘ Collaborating on an email becomes much more effective with AI smoothing out our work later.

πŸ‘ It makes our writing easier to read.

πŸ‘ It saves a lot of time!

I'm sure there are many more simple and practical tasks that can be done with AI. How do you use it every day?
